We’re looking for a Social Media Specialist to join our team to assist our Digital Marketing Manager on a contract/ per project basis. Candidate can work from home but must be available to work from and meet at our office in Gastown as needed. This role will start as part-time with the potential to turn into a permanent role with the right person.

The role:

· Own and maintain the client social media calendar for all social channels and be responsible for crafting engaging copy and content.
· Manage content and be able to creatively write in the tone of voice of Insurance Agents, Realtors, Fashion Brands, Food & Beverage, and more.
· Moderate follower comments and respond promptly.
· Organically grow social following with authentic tactics.
· Work alongside the Digital Marketing Manager to generate new ideas for our clients social content to drive communications.
· Develop relevant content topics and tone of voice to each company’s target customers.
· Develop hashtag strategies to improve reach consistently.
· Monthly reporting on social media engagements within the community.
· Continuous monitoring of data and use those metrics to optimize posts.
· Keep on top of program trends and be able to recommend and implement new tools to serve our clients.
· Monitoring the success of the community and of social media in terms of the overall marketing strategy.
· Represent our company at networking events and be proactive about bringing in new business.

Skills & Requirements:

· Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related programs or equivalent in professional experience in social media and community management.
· Understanding of and experience with Social Media platforms (SproutSocial, Later, Hootsuite, Buffer etc) and up-to-date on latest trends.
· An enthusiastic and ambitious team player.
· Strong communication skills, attention to detail, good problem solving skills.
· Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines.
· A proactive, resourceful and solution-oriented ‘can-do’ attitude
· Excellent written and spoken communication skills are essential.
· Bonus skills: Graphic Design, Photography, Videography, Blogging, WordPress.
