We’re looking for an experienced senior Social Media Lead to join our team on a maternity leave contract. This is an opportunity to step into an established role, leading a portfolio of long-term clients while working alongside a collaborative team of social media specialists, designers, strategists, photographers, and content creators.
This role is ideal for someone who can step in with confidence, judgement and skills of a leader from day one. You enjoy balancing big-picture strategy with day-to-day execution. You’ll build trusted client relationships, develop creative social media strategies, oversee content production from concept through publishing, and help ensure every piece of work reflects the quality and creativity our studio is known for.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of social media programs for a portfolio of retained clients.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, providing strategic guidance, managing expectations, and building long-term relationships.
- Develop monthly content calendars aligned with client goals, seasonal campaigns, and broader marketing initiatives.
- Write engaging, on-brand copy tailored to each client’s unique voice across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other emerging platforms.
- Lead content creation from concept to completion, including planning shoots, directing talent, capturing photo and video content, and coordinating post-production.
- Work closely with designers, photographers, videographers, and content creators to produce compelling creative that delivers results.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, keeping timelines, approvals, and deliverables organized and on schedule.
- Monitor account performance, community engagement, and campaign analytics, translating insights into actionable recommendations and ongoing improvements.
- Stay informed on platform updates, industry trends, and emerging content formats to ensure clients remain current and competitive.
- Contribute to new business opportunities by supporting pitches, proposals, and strategic recommendations.
- Mentor and support junior members of the social media team, fostering a collaborative, creative, and solutions-focused culture.
We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of professional social media management experience, preferably within an agency or multi-client environment.
- Experience managing a social media team successfully from a project management, feedback and efficiency standpoint
- Ability to follow up on tasks to ensure deadlines are hit across many projects at once, while maintaining attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience developing social media strategies that align with broader business and marketing objectives.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone across a variety of brands and industries.
- Confidence leading content shoots, directing talent, and creating engaging short-form video content.
- Proficiency with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, with a good understanding of current content creation tools.
- Experience interpreting analytics and using performance data to refine strategy and improve results.
- Excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a genuine passion for collaboration and continuous improvement.
